The StandardX, Bangkok Phra Arthit

We recently stayed at The Standard X Phra Arthit in Bangkok, and had a wonderful experience overall. The hotel is modern and beautifully designed, reminiscent of an art gallery. Everything, from the public areas to the rooms, was impeccably clean. Our room was incredibly spacious, featuring a comfortable bed, plush pillows, and a lovely balcony overlooking the street. The thoughtful design truly enhanced our stay. The staff, especially Mrs. Mo, were exceptionally polite, professional, and always ready to assist. The location of the hotel is simply perfect. It’s just steps away from a vibrant street filled with restaurants, cafés, and so much more. The convenience of having the river tour boat right in front of the hotel was another highlight for us. While we thoroughly enjoyed most aspects of our stay, we did encounter a small issue at the pool. Unfortunately, the staff at the pool bar were inattentive, which detracted from the otherwise high standard of service throughout the hotel. For example, there were no pool towels readily available, and when we requested assistance, the response was slow and unengaged. Additionally, it was difficult to order drinks, as the pool staff seemed absent. This was a missed opportunity, as we had plenty of time to relax at the pool and would have loved to enjoy the bar service. Lastly, one suggestion for improvement would be to add some form of shade to the balconies. It would make the space even more enjoyable, allowing guests to sit outside comfortably without direct exposure to the sun. Despite these minor setbacks, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this beautiful hotel to others. The design, cleanliness, spacious rooms, and outstanding location are reasons to highly recommend this hotel.We look forward to returning in the future!

Nice hotel, very close to restaurants and bars in old Bangkok and walking distance from main temples and royal palace. Located also next to the pier, so transportation via the river is definitely a plus (although it does bring some noise of course from boats arriving and departing and from workers doing some construction). The hotel is quite artsy, nicely decorated inside and it has a small coffee shop where you can enjoy a drink. My room with balcony overlooking the river was huge, the bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and large. I appreciated the complementary water and tea/coffee and the free drink at the bar on the day of arrival. I enjoyed breakfast in the morning, and the pool at the top floor was very nice as well. This was a good experience.

Brand new hotel, excellent location, very good breakfast. The staff is kind and the lobby looks like a beautiful art museum! The breakfast takes a bit, but the options are worth it, I especially enjoyed the salmon avocado toast and the poached eggs. You also have the boat station right in the back of the hotel, and 7 Eleven and ATM right near the hotel.

My wife had her birthday, and the amazing reception manager helped me with flowers and bubbly, which was really great and super well organised. They kept my wife in the secret while also a birthday cake was delivered. The hotel has a really cool indie graffiti vibe with a superb coffeshop in the lobby with a craft shop that really sells nice things made by local artists, which you won't find in any other souvenir shop. Worth buying gifts there and helping the local artists. We had a very lovely room with gorgeous view and balcony over the river. The rooftop bar was excellent,, especially with the swimming pool and the views and the restaurant. Shout out to the lovely restaurant manager who always takes time to get to know the guests. We liked the breakfast as well. Good coffee, plenty of options and order eggs fresh from menu. The location is amazing. Close to the palace and next to the boat station where you can take a waterbus all around the city and close to the crazy party street but you will not hear any noise from the hotel at all which is ideal. Don't forget to do a sunset cruise. We can highly highly recommend staying at Standard X. Hope to come back. Thanks for everything

Everything was amazing! It’s like a cozy little hotel on the outside, but it’s bursting with creativity and modernity on the inside. The artwork and construction are truly unique and impressive. And the staff were absolutely wonderful! I found myself spending more time at the hotel restaurant than anywhere else. The breakfast was delicious, and I ended up having dinner there too. Oh my gosh, their fried chicken was absolutely incredible! It was a delightful surprise. I did wonder to Khao San Road but ended back at Bang somehow lol
